Overview:
This role is responsible for maximizing sales of the company's cinema and professional monitor products through professional product dealers and systems integrators in Middle East & Africa. Principal customers will be in the cinema exhibition and film production markets.
Based in Dubai, the position is an integral part of Dolby’s new regional sales structure, working with our shared service centre in Amsterdam for orders and shipping, coordinating lead generation, presales support, application engineering and post-sales support in the territory, and interfacing with the Cinema Sales Manager in Wootton Bassett in the UK. The role will also include sales management of the existing dealer and installer network. Territories covered include Middle East, Africa and Pakistan.

Responsibilities:
- Maximize revenue from sales of Dolby’s Cinema range of products.
- Achieve targeted sales goals for the region for the Cinema product sector.
- Manage ongoing business relationships with Dolby distributors and key customers operating in the channel:
- Advise on and set targets for customers
- Motivate channel partners, ensuring they have necessary sales tools and appropriate arguments; push out marketing-communication campaigns to them, develop incentives where necessary, bring in new distributors in new territories and seek replacements for poor performing distributors
- Ensure channel partners have the relevant level of technical support utilising pre- and post-sales engineers
- Oversee day-to-day communications: ensure channel partners are in contact with key customers and that they inform us of developments; ensure follow up on outstanding issues as appropriate
- Promote Dolby products and technologies to current and prospective dealers and end-users in the territory.
- Provide market feedback and data to Dolby Marketing teams.
- Participate in product management discussions.
- Contribute to product training for end users, dealers and installers.
- Attend regional and sub-regional trade shows to represent the Dolby brand and technologies.
Other responsibilities:
- Attend and contribute to relevant internal meetings
- Develop the necessary understanding of Dolby’s technologies, products and procedures
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required by management.
Qualifications:
Knowledge:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Audio Technology or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of standard computer hardware, software and networking will be expected as will an interest in audio and video.
- Knowledge of film/cinema and professional digital video systems.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the cinema exhibition, cinema production and cinema post-production markets would be an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge and business connections in the cinema exhibition industry in Middle East and Africa.
Skills:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as the basis for interactions with customers singly and in groups.
- Fluent English essential. Arabic and French are big PLUS. Knowledge of other Middle East & African languages would be an advantage.
- Experience in presentation skills would be an advantage.
- Experience in sales closing techniques is essential.
Abilities:
- Ability to think logically, fault find and analyse problems from a verbal of written description.
- Ability to be proactive and work on own initiative, as well as being able to work as a member of a small but dynamic team.
PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive travel and a willingness to work outside normal office hours, when required, is part of the job.
