The QA Manager for Dolby in Wroclaw, Poland will lead a QA group in a collaborative team environment. This is a technical/Administrative management position responsible for overseeing and coordinating a team of Quality Assurance engineers testing Dolby technologies. This team is responsible for creating, maintaining, and running a QA test environment used to perform functional and performance testing on projects and products developed across multiple global Dolby sites and project teams. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right person passionate about both testing and Dolby technologies. At start-up, this position will involve considerable hands-on work, but will evolve to more of a management and leadership role as the team grows.

The position involves being part of the larger world-wide Dolby QA community in designing and executing effective, efficient, and repeatable test processes. It requires a strong working knowledge of testing on embedded devices and software applications as well as experience successfully leading and mentoring QA engineers. Work will be performed in a collaborative team environment involving interaction with other internal groups as well as potential customers of the technology.

Responsibilities:
- Manage team of technical test engineers, providing both management and technical oversight enabling team members to be successful in execution of assigned tasks.
- Supervise, plan, guide, and direct the team operationally and tactically in order to meet each project’s objectives of schedule, quality, and budget.
- Plan the resource needs for the team, preparing headcount and equipment budgets to assure adequate resources are in place.
- Develop and implement strategies for testing and test process improvements.
- Grow and teach the team as project demands require.
- Partner with QA teams from across the company by working closely with Dolby engineering entities across the world.
- Provide technical leadership in the development, specification, implementation, and maintenance of various test environments required to perform full functional feature testing, regression testing and standards compliance verification on all products assigned to the team.
- Manage the planning, design, and implementation of comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure product functionality requirements and performance goals are achieved.
- Create and maintain test schedules for all projects within the team.
- Stay abreast of industry SQA tools and best practices and apply those to the development and deployment of new test technologies, tools and or methods.

Qualifications:
- M.S. or B.S. Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of test experience, test group management experience desirable.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of test methodologies, practices, software development processes, and defect tracking systems.
- Deep knowledge of automated test methodologies and tools.
- Hands-on scripting and/or test too development experience.
- Direct experience with embedded and software applications testing and test tooling is highly desired.
- Experience with audio testing would be a significant plus.
- Significant experience testing applications in both the Windows and Linux OS environments.
- Positive, team-oriented work ethic.
- Knowledge of Networking concepts (Routing, Switching, VOIP)
- Knowledge of Security IPSec, TLS, DTLS, Tunnels
- Knowledge of SIP, RTP, RTCP etc
- Basic/testing knowledge about audio and codecs(G722/G729ab/G711 & etc.) is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are necessary.
- Exceptional presentation, coaching, and mentoring skills will also be important for success. Successful candidate must be able to present to all position levels, from individual contributors to executives.
- Superior interpersonal skills, especially influencing, is required. Successful candidate must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with partners, customers, and team members at all levels. Must be able to deal with unexpected challenges in a collaborative, professional manner.
- This position may require periodic international travel.
