As a Dolby Intern, you will work with the Professional Technical Support team. Primary responsibilities include device testing, validation and troubleshooting. You will interact with various groups within Dolby to assist with the development of test infrastructure, in order to validate new and existing Dolby technologies in end to end online delivery workflows. You will have the opportunity to learn about adaptive streaming and to work with future delivery formats that are still in development. You will complete assignments independently, interpret generally defined practices and methods, apply knowledge and understanding of team’s needs and provide support to others.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with configuring test labs and equipment
- Assist with configuring and maintaining interoperability test systems and content delivery infrastructure
- Leverage good communication skills and technical knowledge to solve complex problems
- Validate Dolby technologies in online delivery workflows

Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering or a related technical or business field.
- It is vital that applicant can quickly and thoroughly learn a variety of topics in a short time.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to work independently to achieve goals established in a team environment. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Desired Competencies
- Ability to solve issues independently using online resources and tools
- Experience with writing and interpreting Python and Bash scripts. Other scripting languages a plus.
- Must be comfortable working at the command line.
- Understanding of digital audio concepts such as sampling rate and quantization as well as perceptual audio codecs. Knowledge of audio and video technologies, broadcast standards, online media multiscreen streaming technologies, and their applications in content distribution infrastructures.
- Adept at all MS Office Products, Word, I.E., Excel and PowerPoint
- Interest in music, audio/video production, recording engineering, broadcast engineering film audio or acoustics.
