As a QA Engineer for the Home Theatre Product Development and Licensing group, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality and timely delivery of our software and licensing deliverables. As part of your role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed test plans as well as hands on implementation of the tests to ensure a high quality of our audio processing software products. The work will be performed in a collaborative team environment involving interaction with other internal groups throughout Dolby as well as potential customers of the technology. You will additionally be an active part of the internal development and improvement of our test design and automation environment.

Responsibilities:
- Leading test projects from early development to final delivery.
- Work independently for project planning, effort and resource estimation, task split, test progress tracking, and coach and develop junior engineers.
- Planning the test approach for Dolby Home Entertainment products.
- Designing and implementing new test methods for a variety of technologies and product types.
- Hands on implementation of test plans.
- Utilizing and adapting the existing test automation infrastructure.
- Assess whether the product functions in line with its requirements.
- Documenting test results.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and working knowledge of evaluation methods in the design, development, and debugging of hardware and software systems.
- Minimum of four years relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, plan and execute test projects.
- Practical experience testing consumer electronic products is preferred.
- Additional software test certifications like ISTQB would be helpful.
- Professional experience programming in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Python, Perl, Java or UNIX scripting languages.
- Must be methodical, detail-oriented and a thorough approach to problem solving.
- Team-oriented and process-oriented work ethic.
- Excellent English spoken and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
