This is a rare opportunity for the right individual to join the Advanced Technology Group PMO and help bring the next generation of cutting edge Imaging and Voice products to life. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, is comfortable and confident interacting with executive management, and able to anticipate next steps and maintain focus in evolving markets. Lead cross-functional teams from definition through development and release in the product lifecycle process. Ensure that programs are completed end to end in accordance with scope, schedule, cost and stakeholder needs.
Contribute to the successive refinement and cross functional adoption of the product lifecycle process and associated tools.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the activities of high performing and technical cross-functional groups (both internal and external partners) to introduce new Imaging and Voice products to the market.
- Ensure that all stakeholder needs are being addressed.
- Examine program documents including customer, product, process and system requirements, operational aspects, work plans, schedules, and budgets and create/own/drive an integrated program plan.
- Facilitate work of functional groups as necessary to ensure that all project deliverables are created and delivered in accordance with the approved work plan.
- Ensure that high-level program status information is kept up-to-date. Review status summary materials and present to management on a regular basis. Communicate and escalate as appropriate.
- Partner with key managers in each group to ensure that overall objectives are understood and supported.
- Ensure that Dolby’s process methodologies, templates, and tools are properly applied to all programs.
- Assist in developing and implementing program management global best practices within Dolby, including templates and tools.
- Proactively anticipate problems and build risk mitigation plans accordingly. Resolve issues as they arise. Escalate critical problems to senior management as necessary in a timely manner. Deliver on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 10+ years professional experience in managing software development programs.
- Practical experience with risk analysis and conflict resolution.
- Expert knowledge and practical application of program and project management tools, approaches, and processes as they apply to software/hardware product development programs.
- Ability to multitask, roll up sleeves and dive deep as needed, perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, coaching, and mentoring skills. Ability to present to all position levels, from individual contributors to executives.
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently to achieve goals established in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tool, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
